Created in 2012, under the name of Rovaniemi150, was the first race of it category in Europe: three categories (run, ski, fatbike) starting at the same time, and also introducing for first time in Europe the fatbike race.

The beginning of all was a 150k race, running through snowy wild tracks in the Arctic Circle around Finnish Lapland's main city: Rovaniemi.

Few years later, in 2015, two more races were added: 66k and 300k. All races started at the same time.

Cancelled in December 2022, the Arctic Circle Winter Races are already history.
