OAC skis are becoming increasingly popular. They are a very stable type of ski and are very suitable for travelling in both deep snow and on groomed snow. Being very versatile, they are a good alternative for those who like to go skiing in Lapland.
These skis have a large part of the sole covered with sealskin and come fitted with a universal binding, a type of binding suitable for many types of boots or footwear
It's important to have good quality footwear, but... to avoid cold feet, you can follow this advice:
- First, you need to buy good thermal insoles, preferably made of merino wool.
- Next, buy some thin, knee-length socks that have a good amount of thread or silk, that hold up well, aren't tight, and allow good blood circulation.
- Next, with the thin socks on, try on some thick, knee-length socks that hold up well, aren't tight, and allow good blood circulation.
- With both socks on try the boots with the insole in.
- You must check that your heels are tight and your toes and feet in general without any pressure.
